who can participate?
Aged between 18-30
Active and open, interested in new contacts, knowledge, impressions, and personal development, eager to learn other languages and cultures
Motivated to work with children aged 2-6 and create activities for them
Willing to share time, skills and knowledge and opened to learning in an international environment – Interest in entrepreneurship, startups and innovation is a plus, just as good writing skills
Eager to create activities for local community
The volunteers will be selected among youngsters deeply motivated to work with children and contribute to their development and possibly among those with a little experience with children or a degree in primary education. We will encourage them, once they get to know the working methods of the kindergarten and nursery to create their own games, handcraft classes etc. By their presence, we would like to promote cross-cultural activities, solidarity and European values. Volunteers will get full guidance and will develop by actually doing their activities.
When and Where?

preparing and guide activities for children between age 2-6
coping with different learning methods of children
boosting up volunteers’ creativity, be proactive and adapt the games to the children’s needs
learning from teachers’ methods
language teaching and creating creative learning games and activities based on the skills of the volunteer
organising events and celebrations
After lunch the volunteers join MeOut office in the centre of Budapest where they will plan and implement activities for the local community and support project management tasks:
creating workshops for locals (e.g language course, yoga, urban gardening etc. based on the skills and interest of the volunteer)
organising local events (Solidarity Breakfast, youth meetings etc.)
In November the volunteers will be involved in Innovation Week in Szeged with 20 other international volunteers, where they will be part of the organisational team for the events, creating content, promotional activities, and logistical arrangements on spot.
The accommodation costs are covered. Volunteers will live in a shared flat equipped with all the necessary utilities for comfortable living.
Each month volunteer’s receive a total of 260€ pocket and food money.
Each volunteer receives a monthly pass for public transport in Budapest.
In case of travelling outside of Budapest due to work, volunteers’ expenses will be covered by the organisation.
The volunteer will have Cigna Health insurance.
The volunteer will have access to the Online Language Support to learn Hungarian.
Volunteer’s training cycle
The volunteer will have on-arrival and mid-term training provided by the Hungarian National Agency.
Support before, during, after the activities
Mentor and supervisors’ support
Extra certificates if they participate in specific activities (which will report the specific learning outcomes) or recommendation letters if they need one
The volunteers will be involved in promotional activities about the ESC and Erasmus+ program. They will be supported by us to organise them, to prepare presentations or intercultural evening. But we will be ready to support and evaluate any other idea from the volunteers.
“Intercultural dinner night” where the volunteers can introduce typical dishes of their countries and make a presentation about their region, town or what they prefer and feel related to.
Language exchanges once per week or month;
Information banquets about the program and activities; informal meetings with school teachers and young people interested in this kind of experience abroad.
We will propose and encourage to develop one or more among these activities but the Volunteers will be the ones who will decide which activity fits better to their personal interests.
The selection process is based not mainly on your experiences but your motivation and your personality.
