Background

The project is about:

developing capacity building cooperation within a diverse, robust and multilateral partnership, meaning three organisations active in the field of VET in Hungary, Greece, Slovenia, two Chamber of Commerce from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and three VET providers from Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo;
involving a balanced number of partners from Program and Associated countries;
foreseeing activities that are feasible, realistic, based on relevant needs, to support the relevance, accessibility, and responsiveness of VET institutions.

These activities are:

Capacity building meetings between VET providers and organisations stakeholders, mainly for VET school instructors, trainers, teachers and school management staff.
Western Balkans students’ mobilities, 6 learners short term mobility for 21 and 30 days and 6 learners long term mobility for 60 days.

Additionally, the project results will be reinforced by the synergies created with the ongoing pilot project funded by the IPA program, Connected Through Mobility (CTM), funded in 2020, which involves the same partnership members.

GOAL

Increase the capacities of VET providers, especially in management, governance, inclusion, quality assurance, innovation, and internationalisation.
Management and governance: Partners personnel will have more opportunities to develop their management and governance skills by participating in the thematic capacity building conferences for teachers and supporting the implementation of students’ mobilities.
Inclusion: Students with fewer opportunities are numerous in these schools. According to the London School of Economics and the European Training Foundation, the education process in Western Balkans is highly selective, and the entry process limitations limit students’ mobility.
Quality assurance will be guaranteed by transfer and testing of good practices related to communication, risk management and assessing the overall internships abroad. Teachers and partners will do a first quality check before starting the students’ mobilities regarding the hosting companies; a second will be done during the mobilities to confirm that students are learning what they need to. A teacher will evaluate and monitor the process; a third evaluation will be done at the end of the mobilities by VET institutions.

MONTHS

The following activities will be implemented.

(6)Short-term mobilities

One-month mobilities for participants to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in their field of expertise.

(6)Long-term mobilities

Three-month mobility for participants to gain in-depth experience and knowledge in their field of expertise.

(3)CAPACITY BUILDING CONFERENCES

Two day long capacity building events in the field of vocational education and training (VET) and the innovation sector, to share knowledge, know-how and best practices among participants from the VET field, like school instructors and management staff, trainers, teachers, industry partners and professional associates.

COORDINATION MEETINGS

To facilitate the synchronisation of project activities and foster comprehensive discussions regarding progress and upcoming steps and aiming to explore avenues for capacity building within the project framework to enhance capabilities and effectiveness
