“GENDER ENDERS”!
Looking for participants from Hungary.
Coma Ruga, Tarragona, Spain.
24 September – 2 October 2022
Our training course Gender Enders aims to fight against gender inequality and the violence against LGTBQ+ persons in our societies.
The main reason that leads us to carry out this project, is the high discrimination and violence suffered by women, people with different gender identities and dissident sexualities historically .
We will focus on the deconstruction of gender roles as primary source of inequality. The images we have of ourselves are shaped by stereotypes and social pressure to comply with the norm. We will discover the impact of gender roles in our lives, both women and men, especially in the ‘self-perception’ of each others.
Gender Enders will offer participants the necessary tools to fight this inequality, celebrate difference and achieve self-esteem.
Following the principles of non-formal education, participants will learn while having fun using theatre methodologies amor others. The methods provided and their diversity will give participants the opportunity to be part of the learning process, learning from the emotions experienced as a group and individually.
Putting into practice theatrical and dance techniques, we will help the participants to explore different ways of using their body and voice, as well as the different expressions we have in our space with the people that surround us.
