Project background:
Within this ToT course participants have the chance to further develop their competences as a trainer. In line with the European Training Strategy in the frame of Erasmus+ Youth programme the ToT course considers the following competences to be essential when working as a non-formal education trainer working internationally:

Within this ToT course participants have the chance to further develop their competences as a trainer. In line with the European Training Strategy in the frame of Erasmus+ Youth programme the ToT course considers the following competences to be essential when working as a non-formal education trainer working internationally:
- The competence to understand and facilitate individual and group learning processes.
- The competence to design educational programmes.
- The competence to direct one´s own learning (Learning to Learn)
- The competence to co-operate successfully in teams.
- The competence to communicate meaningfully with others.
- Intercultural competence.
- Being civically engaged.
Participants enter the ToT course with various levels of prior experience as
trainer as well as competences developed – consequently, the learning needs of participants are different. The educational approach implemented in the ToT
course intends to allow for these different learning needs to be identified and
pursued. At the core of this process is the competence of the participant to
direct their own learning. The group as a source for peer learning and the
trainers as facilitators of these learning processes are essential pillars of this
approach.
This, the following objectives have been created in view of the overall aim of the project:
- To qualify new peace educators in planning, delivering and evaluating educational programmes on peace education for young people
- To create new educational materials and activities for education programmes for young people
- To trigger transnational partnerships on education among youth organisations
Participants are expected:
- To have been already involved at least one time in a team of trainers designing, implementing and /or evaluating a training course in the framework of Formar and/or Non-Formal Education.
- To have had international experience in the youth work filled with a function of responsibility (not only as a participant) – organising international youth projects, leading a youth exchange, mentoring volunteers, etc.
- To have the potential and need to develop training competences and act after the course as a trainer for European Erasmus+ Youth or Solidarity Corps projects and/or for training courses organised by the National Agencies of the programmes.
- To show initiative and willingness to self-direct their own learning process.
- To be prepared to reflect on and question their own beliefs and approaches as trainers.
- To be able to run training courses in English.
About the venue:
Location: Balatonszárszó, Hungary

The participants will be accommodated in shared rooms, 2-5 per room. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, will be provided by the organizers. All the instructions on how to arrive at the venue will be sent by email.
Cost and travel:
The travel arrangements will be done by the coordinating organisation. As soon as the participants are selected the project coordinator will get in touch for further arrangements.

Accomondation:
The accommodation and food will be covered 100% by the grant of Erasmus+ programme. We have a limited budget for travel costs. According to the restrictions of the Erasmus+ Programme we can only refund up to some of the travel cost, if the following points are fulfilled:
• Your travel route is from your home town to the venue in Hungary and back (if you are not traveling from your hometown, contact us previously).
• You have chosen reasonable and economic means of transportation (cheap airlines, 2nd class trains, etc.)
• Your travel dates are according to the programme
• You have a receipt or invoice for the cost of your plane ticket and the boarding cards or the train/bus tickets

Forint is the official currency in Hungary .If you want to understand approximately how much money you are using,normally you can calculate it in this way:1 Euro = 397 HUF , 1 American Dollar = 374 Huf Hungary is a member of the European Union, but we have not started with the Euro yet. In many places you can pay by Euro,but expect to receive Forints back. If you do pay by Euros the shops normally give you less (not the best exchange rate) for your Euro, so you would do better to go to change your Euros,and then go back to the shop and pay with forints.
