Intro:
The motivation to carry out this project is to create an innovative, creative approach to the capacity building and learning of youth in the world of non-formal education and specifically within the EU supported programmes for youth, learning, and mobility. That is to embed together in the trainer and youth workers’ portfolio the competences of a graphic facilitator and a coach. There have already been extensive programmes preparing and developing trainers, or coaches, or graphics facilitators. In our view, these three sets of competencies are a multifaceted aspect of an ideal modern educator and youth worker.
Expected results of the seminar:
- To better understand a difference between a coach/facilitator and mentor and able to use special techniques of each field
- By the end of the second part of the project participants will be able to understand themselves and other people deeper, recognize the needs, concerns and goals of each other
- Experiencing what it means to be a coach and how can you connect and empower others
- Participants will learn about different coaching methods, theories and how to implement them in real life situations
Concept:
In the first part of the training this project has more focused on the skills of a trainer, facilitator. After learning about wide range of techniques such as developing their public speaking skills, visual facilitation and new mindsets they had to organize a local project in order to practice their new set of skills. This second part of training participants will reflect on that event, sharing the experiences and discuss what they have learnt, what is should be improved. As the project goes further they will face challenges coming from their personalities and behaviour. This project aims to make people understand what are the biggest fears, strengths of a person and what are the life goals they want to achieve and how these triggers and mindsets are influencing these goals. Putting them in a role of a coach they can better address those triggers and feelings, and with the right techniques they can give proper coaching and empowering to any person they will coach. This project wants to ensure that youth workers with the many useful techniques they need combined with the coaching competences will make a bigger impact in local projects and communities after project. As a result participants will be a more qualified and confident youth workers with a bigger influence on their future projects.
Project objectives:
- Integrate the set of three competencies (coaching, facilitation, and visual facilitation) to train trainers and youth workers
- To encourage them in using these multiple skills set to work with groups of participants on local level events to boost social inclusion and to develop their action plans
- To use these activities to boost social inclusion, enabling them to implement “informal training” events or activities in their local realities
- To observe, monitor, assess and evaluate both the international training as well as the local actions, to provide empirical evidence and valid indicators of the efficacy of this formula, and its need to be further implemented and invested upon
- Evaluate the effectiveness and experiences of the local task that has been implemented after the first training
- Understanding the different learning styles and how coaching can be a powerful tool to empowering people
- Facing their own challenges, values and triggers in order to be a better person and coach in the future
- Developing set of skills in order to be a better coach/facilitator
- Learn the difference between coaching, facilitation and mentoring
Participation profiles:
- youth workers, young community leaders and members of the partner organizations;
- aged 18+
- young people, unemployed people interested in the field of entrepreneurship;
- experience working with young people
- knowledge of the situation of young people in their own country;
- motivation to take part in a mutual learning process in a very intercultural setting;
- good level of English to follow the seminar and to contribute to it;
- wish and ability to participate fully in the event;
The project contributes to:
- Competences in coaching techniques, methods and skills and their combination with the visual facilitation skills
- Better understanding of personalities, drives and triggers and how it influences our life goals
- Competence as beginners in youth coaching: which includes active listening, delivering powerful questions, setting both process and end goals
- Youth workers make projects ( especially on local) with bigger impact by preparing them to use coaching techniques and skills
- Understanding deeper the needs of a person or a community

Time schedule:
Arrival day: 3rd April 2023
Departure day: 12th April 2023
Accomondation and food:
The participants will be accommodated in Althann Vendégház és Konferenciaközpont at Vác, from two to six bedded rooms divided by gender.
Breakfasts, lunches and dinners per day will be provided on the spot.
Travelling to Hungary:
ONLY INTERNATIONAL TRAVELS ARE COVERED!
The travel arrangements will be done by the coordinating organisation. As soon as the
participants are selected the project coordinator will get in touch for further arrangements.
Financial Conditions/ Reimbursements:
We will organise the travel for you!
The course is implemented in the frame of the Erasmus+ Programme. The costs – including costs of full-board and accommodation during the program – will be covered by the organisers.
Participants are expected to cover insurance and any additional personal expenses.
If the participant fails to attend the event the organisers shall be compelled to charge him/her for any travel expenses covered by the organisers.

- Registration form: Please use this form to register your selected candidates.
- Materials for Intercultural Evening: please bring food, drinks, music, or anything you find relevant to present your culture and/or country during the intercultural evening.
- Health insurance documents: the health/ travel insurance is in the responsibility of the participants, make sure you are covered during your stay in Hungary!
