Short-term group volunteering
we are looking:
for 20 volunteers to join MeOut for a mobile group volunteering project for “Innovation Week” from European Union countries and Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Ukraine.
who can participate?
- Active and open, interested in new contacts, knowledge, impressions, and personal development, eager to learn other languages and cultures
- Eager to create activities for local community
- Willing to share time, skills and knowledge and opened to learning in an international environment
- Flexible in doing different tasks
- Has team spirit
- Interest in entrepreneurship, startups and innovation is a plus, just as good writing skills
- Aged 18-30.
We are looking for volunteers to contribute in different topics:- Video/photo making
- Creating promotional material
- Communications
- Promotion of Erasmus+
- Blogging
- On-site support
PS! You are eligible to apply even if you already have participated in a short or long term EVS or ESC volunteering project.
Financials:
Accommodation and lodging covered 100% by the ESC.Travel expenses are covered up to the amount defined by the Distance Calculator.

When and Where?
InnovateMeOut 5th – 26th November, 2021 in Hungary
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
The group of volunteers will be involved in the ‘Innovation Week’ event. The event will be a new initiative organised in collaboration with different partners and will involve a
massive number of people from all over Hungary, Western Balkan, Eastern partnership countries and the EU.
The activity in which volunteers will be involved is going to be high-quality, innovative, human-centred, and they will be built around a dynamic, youth-focused response to nowadays societal challenges.
We will organise different events in six cities of Hungary, in Budapest, Györ, Szeged, Debrecen, Zalaegerszeg and Kaposvar. We expect over 100 participants in every event.
This means that volunteers will have several tasks on every event, depending on the needs of the competitions/ conferences/ panel discussions etc.
For example, at Cyber Security (CyexCamp), we will have different locations for different activities, where volunteers will be shared based on their learning goals and tasks.
Since the main topic of the activities is about entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, startups and business, the volunteers will become total insiders. Their mindset and
competencies will develop faster; these volunteers will support our and the local partners’ activities from the preparation phase, through the realisation till the dissemination.
They will manage small activities, and we will provide space for personal idea realisation (ex: if volunteers want to hold a yoga session in the breaks, they will be supported in looking for the location, mats, music, etc.).
By this, we want to reinforce skills and competencies’ development of the volunteers and to increase self-empowerment and self-esteem.
The event series provides excellent networking opportunities for all parties and supports better awareness of the European project and EU common values.

The volunteers will organise some “promotional spots” during the events. These “promotional spots” will be dedicated to the promotion of the ESC and Erasmus+ activities, and we plan to have a little stand or an information banquet where volunteers will introduce the programmes and explain what are the activities that can be carried out, it’s objectives and impacts. Moreover, they will prepare handicraft materials to be shared with the public, little gadgets or information materials using their creativity and sense of entrepreneurship to involve and intrigue young people to listen to their presentations about the ESC and E+
programs opportunities.

VOLUNTEER’S CONDITIONS:
Accommodation
The accommodation costs are covered. The volunteers will be based in Budapest. They will be living in a hostel with shared rooms.
Depending on the role of the volunteer, when needed, the travel will be organised to go to an event city venue to prepare, organise, and close the events. We will have free days not at weekends, but between the activities. Every event will be followed by the other one, during the events will dine with other participants and volunteers will receive their pocket money for dinner and lunch for the days off.
Allowance
Volunteers receive 5€ pocket money per day.
International transport
The transportation from home country to Hungary and back will be covered according to the distance calculator of Erasmus+ program.
Local transport
The transportation for the activities between the cities will be covered by the coordinating organisation.
Insurance
The volunteer will have Cigna Health insurance.
General support
- Support before, during, after the activities
- Evaluation meetings
- Mentor and supervisors’ support
- Extra certificates if they participate in specific activities (which will report the specific learning outcomes) or recommendation letters if they need one

The selection process is based not mainly on your experiences but your motivation and your personality.
