We participated in our first Erasmus program in Puente Genil, Spain. First, this experience was life-changing for both of us.
We met amazing people and organizations from all over Europe. We really understood the meaning of europeanism. We learnt a lot about the core values and youth work. We could share our experiences and practices with other participants which made a space for future collaborations. That is why I truly think that the major takeaway was networking.
Our host in Puente Genil was amazingly kind and heartwarming. You could not do anything but fall in love with Spain and Spanish people. On the other hand, we could experience different work ethics and group dynamics which taught us a lot professionally. We had the chance to explore Puente Genil and Andalucía as well with trips together. They also really paid attention to the enough free time to be able to dive into the Spanish culture together with the participants.
The overall experience was amazing, and we definitely would like to come back to Spain and participate in another Erasmus projects to be able to get to know more and more great people as we met in Puente Genil. We also became extremely motivated to organize our own Erasmus project one day.
Thank you to our home organization, to the chance and thank you Javi and the guys who made our experience unforgettable.
