Support measures with images for inclusion
Intro:
The motivation to carry out this project is to create an innovative, creative approach to the capacity building and learning of youth in the world of non-formal education and specifically within the EU supported programmes for youth, learning, and mobility. That is to embed together in the trainer and youth workers’ portfolio the competences of a graphic facilitator and a coach. There have already been extensive programmes preparing and developing trainers, or coaches, or graphics facilitators. In our view, these three sets of competencies are a multifaceted aspect of an ideal modern educator and youth worker.
Expected results of the activity:
- To unify facilitation and visual facilitation techniques
- To create a set of visual competences to youth workers to create meaningful, strong messages for themselves and for their community
- Youth workers will deepen their knowledge and create a set of competencies to develop their own and organisations activities impact
Concept:
These days youth workers need speed and agility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, to screens, to the running information, pictures, and colors. Since pictures are around us continuously we already have a visualization, visual thinking is not rocket science because we already do it. We use images to communicate our messages(GIFs), to express emotions (emojis), to tell our story (pictures), etc. Youth already know how to do graphic facilitation already, but how great would it be if they can transfer all their knowledge into youth work and work with it. Coaching combined with developed visual skills are unquestionably will make an impact in this environment, not in vain companies are embracing new models such as the Agile Scrum, lean start-up and design thinking, all these new ways of working have one thing in common: they need a high degree of visual techniques to stimulate collaboration.
Project objectives:
- Integrate the set of three competencies (coaching, facilitation, and visual facilitation) to train trainers and youth workers
- To encourage them in using these multiple skills set to work with groups of participants on local level events to boost social inclusion and to develop their action plans
- To use these activities to boost social inclusion, enabling them to implement “informal training” events or activities in their local realities
- To observe, monitor, assess and evaluate both the international training as well as the local actions, to provide empirical evidence and valid indicators of the efficacy
Participation profiles:
- youth workers, young community leaders and members of the partner organizations;
- aged 18+
- young people, unemployed people interested in the field of entrepreneurship;
- experience working with young people
- knowledge of the situation of young people in their own country;
- motivation to take part in a mutual learning process in a very intercultural setting;
- good level of English to follow the seminar and to contribute to it;
- wish and ability to participate fully in the event;
The project contributes to:
- Competences in visual and design thinking what they can apply to their day-to-day life for their personal and professional development
- Use the GROW and ARROW models in coaching, understanding roots and causes of behavior, identifying values and principles of the target group, to bring out the true purpose and potential out of young people.
- Competence as beginners in youth coaching: which includes active listening, delivering powerful questions, setting both process and end goals.

Time schedule:
Arrival day: 16 January 2023
Departure day: 24 January 2023
Accomondation and food:
The participants will be accommodated in Evangelikus Konferencia és Missziói Központ, Balatonszárszó, from two to five bedded rooms.
Each room has a private bathroom and toilet. Bed linens and towels are provided.
Breakfasts, lunches and dinners per day will be provided by the organisers.

Travelling to Hungary:
ONLY INTERNATIONAL TRAVELS ARE COVERED!
The travel arrangements will be done by the coordinating organisation. As soon as the
participants are selected the project coordinator will get in touch for further arrangements.
Financial Conditions/ Reimbursements:
We will organise the travel for you!
The course is implemented in the frame of the Erasmus+ Programme. The costs – including costs of full-board and accommodation during the program – will be covered by the organisers.
Participants are expected to cover insurance and any additional personal expenses.
If the participant fails to attend the event the organisers shall be compelled to charge him/her for any travel expenses covered by the organisers.
